Hunnah is a singer/songwriter from Brampton,Canada, a

suburb just outside of Toronto. She grew up singing in

church and started writing her own songs at age 9. As

the child of Ethiopian immigrants, sounds of traditional

Ethiopian music alongside classic Motown and soul, ala

Lionel Richie, Barry White, Michael Jackson and more,

shaped her childhood and her current sound. When

asked why she is passionate about songwriting, Hunnah

had this to say, “...writing songs has always been

therapeutic for me. I think songs have the power to

make people feel less alone, so to help create that

experience is a blessing." Hunnah will be releasing her

debut EP this fall.
